Live Shopping Masterclass

Bloomingdale's take live shopping to a whole new level by hosting regular live shopping masterclass experiences with popular brands that can be found on the retail's website. For those that are already signed up as a BB member and receive newsletters, they are prompted to join the masterclasses and discover new tips, tricks & products with the host (experts).

During the live shopping events, customers are able to sign up to become a "BB member" or and enter into a competition all through the interactive elements that Smartzer provides. Viewers are able to scroll through the carousel at the bottom & discover all of the products that are in the show or be easily navigated through the featured products section on the top left of the player. With our add-to-cart functionality, viewers can be purchasing with 3 simple clicks.

Bloomingdale's partnered with DIOR Beauty to give their customers a day-to-night makeup tutorial or, in other words, how to easily is can be to turn a day's makeup into a night one. This event was done consecutively in both English and Arabic thanks to Smartzer's multi-language feature and the tutorial was led by makeup artist Serby, who had a beautiful model to apply the makeup step-by-step while explaining to the viewers what, how and why was doing.

ABOUT THE MASTERCLASS...
GOAL

Bloomingdale's wanted to give their customers, subscribed to their newsletter, an extra piece of value through regular skincare masterclasses through the power of interactive live shopping.

The luxury retailer wanted to increase the trust & loyalty of their client base by giving the customers a chance to ask questions directly to experts, feel more connected to the retailer and ultimately shop directly from the event. For those that were not already a member, Bloomingdale's wanted an opportunity for viewers to be re-directed to a sign up form.

Execution

Smartzer's live shopping product fitted perfectly into what Bloomingdale's where hoping to achieve with their masterclasses. By connecting directly via their phone, the host was able to demonstrate products & answer live questions that were being submitted through the watching audience. Our live shopping product offers the audience multiple options of interactivity. They could enter competitions, become a member of the retailer and add-to-cart whilst exploring products in the carousel. They would also be able to interactive with our comments & likes features.

Results

The live shopping event was a complete success because of the way the host was able to demonstrate with a model and answer questions live in real-time. This mean for a very authentic, customer led experience for viewers watching at home with over 150+ reactions for the live show. Reactions can include likes and comments being submitted to the host.
The show also saw a lot of products being added to the cart via our add-to-cart functionality. This meant the audience could add products to their basket with a few simple clicks.

Swarovski wanted an immersive e-commerce experience to match this which is why they have partnered with Smartzers and integrated our interactive shoppable video technology. The video was used on the collection landing page to add an interactive edge to Swarovski's e-commerce. Thanks to Smartzer's hot-spot technology, viewers could interact with the models on the screen to bring up all pieces featured, choose a size and add them straight to their cart.
